My sister got me a BUMPIT kit for my birthday. Words can not describe how excited I was to get it. I love it. Needless to say we BUMPITED it up during our Memorial Day Girls' night. What do you think?

Shout out Wednesday
Can I get a "whoot whoot" in honor of:
- The Recession - Not that I'm happy about it or want it to continue, but thanks to the recession, instead of seeming cheap when I don't buy the latest and greatest, I just seem "provident."
- President Obama - For offering tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll online. It was a fun event to participate in (pictures to come) and to be a part of. Too bad he decided to make his appearance 30 minutes earlier then anticipated and we therefore didn't get to see him. Would have been cool.
- Carmel Apples - One of the most delicious treats ever. Carmelly goodness slathered over a ripe apple, then delicately dipped in delicious chocolate and finally coated with cinnamon and sugar or sprinkled with nuts, m&ms, etc. Yummy! Thank goodness I don't know where to buy them in the City or I would buy one every day.
- JJ's crawling - What a beautiful sight to see my cute son crawling around. (Hopefully I'm still saying this in two weeks when he is getting into everything.) He started with an army crawl and quickly mastered the full-fledged version.
- Children's cartoons - Thanks to them, I can have peace and quiet in my home; thanks to them, I was able to play the role of mother to four kids, all under the age of 3 1/2, for 30 or so hours; and thanks to them, I and all four kids are still alive. Thank you Diego, Dora, Max, Ruby and any others I'm forgetting.
P.S. Kristi and Noah I promise I did more with the kids then just let them watch TV.
P.S.S. You may all judge me if you must.
- My Wedding ring - Because without it I'd be labeled a young unwed mother of two. I know, because it was at the jewelers all last week and the looks I got could kill.
- My Birthday - It was a great excuse to hit the town with my beautiful friends, go to a bar and ride a mechanical bull, which I was pretty good at IMHO. Next time I'm asked what talents I have I'm going to say, "bull riding." Thank you Kristi for planning it all. It was so FUN!! I smell a new tradition.

Shout outs!!!
I've decided that every Wednesday, from now until I don't feel like doing it anymore, I'm going to be posting a series of 5-10 shout outs to people, places or things that are on my mind. You know, a little somethin'-somethin' to help get over the hump. Tune in, and if you have a shout out you would like to see next week, just leave it in the comments.
So, without further ado, raise the roof with me in honor of...
Lost - I mostly hate but secretly love that darn show. Anyone else confused?
Swim suit season - As if I didn't look bad enough fully clothed now you want to get a closer look. Really? Did you know I have two kids, both of which did a number on my body.
Yogurtland - It’s like Disneyland for adults. Oh but its not just yogurt ... its an experience. Plus at .39 cents an oz. it’s cheaper then anything else you buy in the city.
Good friends - You know the kind that make you feel like a kid again. Example: You laugh so hard you cry, you cry so hard you laugh, or you do both so hard that you accidently pee a little.
My mom's cooking - It’s amazing. Seriously I don't just say that because I love her, I say it because it’s true. Ask anyone who has eaten her food and they will say the same thing. Oh man, I could really eat some green enchiladas right now. YUMMY.
My husband - Who takes such good care of the kids and I. Examples: Wakes up early to play with the kids so I can sleep in, lets me buy whatever I want, no questions asked (that’s probably because he knows I'm cheap and would never go overboard, but still), loves treats just as much as I do. I love you Jared.

Update on last post.
Thank you for your comments. Truth be told my "Why do I bother blogging" comment was actually written to encourage comments so thank you all for your comments. I now have the encouragement I need to continue blogging more often. :)

Please don't be offended.
Please don't be offended when I don't respond if you send me a text message. Jared and I recently disabled our text messaging capabilities on our phones since we both have internet access. But I promise to always respond to phone calls, emails, and blackberry chat.
Things that make you go huh...
- Why is it that I've been doing my make-up every day since after my mission (Before the mission and during my mission I was "al natural" except for the occasional eye shadow and mascara. I'm sure it wasn't a pretty sight) and yet ever since having kids I'm lucky if I do it at all? huh?
- Why do New Yorkers feel the need to share their opinions with you all the time, especially when they have no idea what they are talking about and have no grasp on reality and life in general? huh?
- Why does Mother Nature tease us with a beautiful Spring day followed by a gloomy rainy day? huh?
- Why can't I cook to save my life? I follow the instruction very carefully and still it’s always just a little off. huh?
- Why do I bother blogging when no one reads it or comments? huh?
- When did I become a "community crier," you know, the type of person who cries if someone else is crying. Like when I cried while watching Karate Kid. But really who doesn't cry when Daniel kicks Johnny's butt after crane kicking him. Oh man I love me some Karate Kid. huh?
- How did I go from being cool and a little funny to frumpy and boring? huh?
- How the heck is it 2009 already and I'm turning 29? Wasn't I just 16? huh?

- When did I lose my ability to write well? I used to be a good writer. My major was Public Relations as in the art of communicating through writing. I've even had articles published and not just in BYU's Daily Universe. huh?
- Why did someone feel the need to invent the bumpit (https://www.bumpits.com/?MID=538369) and why do I really want one? huh?

There's no place like home.
We’re back in the city and enjoying the great weather. The kids and I have missed the city and all our friends. We’re excited to be back, for good weather and to explore more of our beautiful NYC.
Last Friday the temperature was in the 60’s and made for a perfect day to explore. After a full morning of exploring and a good restful nap we headed out with some friends to our favorite play area in Central Park.
The swings were a big hit.
